How to Import Contacts from your old iPhone to your new iPhone
One of the most important things is to transfer your contacts
from your new phone to another phone in case you lose all of your important
contacts along the way. No one likes to re-enter contacts names, addresses, and
mobile numbers and email ID of the hundreds of people.
There are different ways to import contacts from your old iPhone
to the newer one; including some built into the iPhone itself.
The steps to
import contacts by using iCloud are:
- Go to the old iOS device Settings.
This is a grey application that contains a symbol of gears, and
you will find it on the home display.
- Both iOS devices must be linked to a Wi-Fi network press Wi-Fi
on the top of the Settings menu for connecting, turn Wifi enable which
resemble green colour, and click a network from the option “Choose a
network.”
- Type a password if you are asked to do so.
- Click on the Apple email id.
It is a column at the top of the menu list which includes your
name and photo- if you had uploaded.
- In case you are not logged in, login into
your gadget, Write your Apple email ID and password, after that press Log
In.
- In case you are still working on an old
version of iPhone, you don’t have to do this step.
- Hit iCloud.
You will find this in the second column of the menu list.
- Turn “Contacts” to the “Enable” position.
You will find this on the top of the
“Applications Using iCloud” column, and it will turn green.
- Go down and click iCloud Backup.
This is at the bottom of the “Applications Using iCloud” column.
- In case it is not already in the green option, turn “iCloud
Backup” to the “Enable” position.
- Press Back Up Now.
It will backup your old iOS device contacts to iCloud account.
- Go to the new iOS device Settings.
This is a grey application that has gears, and you will find
this on your display screen.
- Click your Apple email ID.
It is a column at the top of the menu list which includes your
name and photo if you had uploaded.
- In case you are not
login, Login into your gadget, write your Apple email ID and password,
after that press Log In.
- In case you are still working on an old
version of iPhone, you don’t have to do this step.
- Hit iCloud.
It is in the second column of the menu list.
- Turn “Contacts” to the “Enable” position.
You will find this on the top of the “Applications Using iCloud”
column.
- Click the Home tab.
It is a round tab on the display of your iOS device, below the
screen.
- Go to Contacts.
It is a grey application that includes a darker grey outline and
has a letter button along the right side in the screen
- Go down and Hold on.
From the middle of the display, go down slowly and hold on to
check a “refresh” icon in the top of the contact list, and after that push your
finger. The contacts from your old iOS device will get moved to your new iOS
device.
