How to Configure Google Home with Multiple users

One of the most crucial complaints with Google Home devices was that there was no way of adding multiple accounts to smart home speakers. Each member of the house needed to share only one Google Assistant Calendar, music collection and news briefing.

Now Google has finally added a feature through which it can recognize up to six Google accounts; You can link up to 6 people’s voices for matching single speaker. Google Home works by identifying your voice. Once you have linked your voice, you can take help of voice commands to customize media. Google Home works through identifying your voice, allowing you to listen to music, look for news and adding products to your shopping list.

How to link your voice?

To link the voice with voice match, you need to connect one Google account. If you have multiple Google accounts, then you can select which account you would like to use.

1.    Launch the Google Home Programme.

2.    Click Account.

3.    Ratify that the listed Google Account is the one that is connected to Google Home.

4.    Tap the triangle at the right of account to switch the accounts.

5.    Click Settings.

6.    Go to the Assistant tab.

7.    Click Voice Match.

8.    Ensure that any gadgets you want to link your voice to are checked.

9.    Click Continue.

10.  Click I Agree.

See which devices are linked to your voice

1.    Launch the Google Home App.

2.    Click Account at the base of the right corner of the home screen.

3.    Click Settings.

4.    Click Assistant tab

5.    Click Voice Match.

6.    You will spot a list of speakers linked to your voice.

Disconnecting your voice from your gadget

Unlink your voice to stop getting customized results on the speaker. You need to decouple your Google Account to unlink your voice.If you want to use the device in continuity, then arrange your speaker with Google Account.

1.    Go to the Google Home App.

2.    Click Account at the base of the right corner of the home screen.

3.    Inspect that the listed Google Account is one that is joined to Google Home.

4.    Tap triangle to the right of the account name and the email address to switch the accounts.

5.    Click Settings.

6.    Go to the Assistant tab.

7.    Go to Voice Match.

8.    Next, to the device, you want to remove Voice match from, tap the X.

You will come across a message saying that your Google Account and voice are unlinked from the device.

Adding multiple users

1.    On your gadget, launch Google Home App. Download it if it is not readily available.

2.    Select a Google account that you want to be linked to your Google Home.

3.    Now you are signed in.

4.    Click on the devices button.

5.    Choose the action overflow button.

6.    Tap Settings.

7.    You will be presented a notification telling you that Multi-user is available now.

8.    Give it a click when it pops up.
