How To Use The Measure App On iOS 12?
One of the great features that
we’ve got to see in iOS 12 is an augmented reality app called Measure. This app
has been designed by Apple to make it easier for you to measure a range of the
real-world objects using 3D spatial detection techniques. This app works pretty
well in pinch but doesn’t always guarantee to be 100 percent accurate. Thus, it
is still beta software, which means that more tweaks to the Measure app are
likely to come before the official launch of iOS 12 in September. If you want
to learn how you can use the new augmented reality Measure app on your iOS 12,
follow the simple steps given below:
- Launch the Measure app
on your iOS device.
- Then you have to follow
the on-screen instructions and move the iPhone around the place you are at
(generally room). Doing so will make you see the dimensions of various
objects.
- Once it’s set and
adjusted. You will find it denoted by a white dot in a circle. Now you are
ready to take measurements.
- For doing so, line up
the white dot with the corner of an object, then press the plus (+)
button. This will create an anchor point.
- Then you’ll need to
press the plus (+) button again in order to prepare the final measurement
of the line.
Note: You can
continue using this method to get the full dimensions of the various objects in
your room or anywhere you want. You will be able to do this with the ability to
set multiple anchor points if desired.
The Measure app includes Haptic
feedback, so you are going to feel small haptic taps every time you set an
anchor point, for physical feedback.
- Whenever the app detects
an obvious stopping point for a measurement, it also includes Haptic taps,
such as the end of a wall.
- If you want to clear
your anchor points and start over whenever you like, first of all, you
need to click on the Clear button.
- Once all of your
measurements are set in their place, you will have to click the white
button for taking a photo that tends to display all of the measurements
placed on top on the object you are measuring.
Note: You can
also click on the arrow of one of the measurements for getting a pop up with
current readings that can be applied and pasted into another app like or notes
messenger.
