Shortcuts for Switching Audio Outputs on Apple TV

Do you often binge-watch your favorite TV shows late in the night? Do your housemates get bothered with the TV volume? Well, watching films and shows with the volume set to minimum or mute lowers the viewing experience. Well if you have AirPods, then you can just hook them up with your Apple TV. Are you excited after learning this? Hold on! The process to connect AirPods to your Apple TV needs you to dig into the Apple TV menu. But, thankfully, with the help of the Siri Remote shortcut, you can easily switch outputs.

How to quickly change audio outputs on Apple TV?
Apple TV comes with a handy shortcut for switching audio outputs. You need to go to the Apple TV’s home screen and long press the Play or Pause button located in the TV’s remote.  Now, a pane containing a list of all the available AirPlay devices will appear. Owing to the wizardry of Apple’s integration, AirPods will be listed on the menu even when they use Bluetooth rather than Wi-Fi.
Using Siri
You can also change audio outputs by using Siri. Just activate Siri and say Audio Settings within the hearing range. Now, the Audio Output will open and then you can easily select the output using the remote. However, it will launch the audio settings screen accessed the last time. Therefore, some screen deep within the Settings app may launch in the place of the Audio Output screen. However, if you have recently changed the audio outputs, then you can use the Siri command.
AirPods and HomePod
Since AirPods are linked to an Apple ID, they get automatically paired to all devices that are signed into the same Apple ID. Therefore, all of your iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TV using the same Apple ID will be linked to your AirPods.
If you have a HomePod, then just go to audio output settings, and select HomePod.
